I

Summer of 2019, “Bieg Rzeznika” (“Butcher’s Run” – that would be an accurate translation in English – this specific race was done as a pair/couple running).

It was my first time in Bieszczady Mountains (or was it?). Photographing runners was not a new thing for me, but then again it was not an official thing – I was there to be with my friends and to cheer on them and maybe take few photos. It was fantastic time. I walked a marathon, got tired, slipped on my bum from the mountain (thank goodness not to the bottom and I only ended up with few scratches and bruises), ended up in a mud, met a lot of great people and took a lot of unplanned photos. Also got so tired that I started seeing things that were not there (you got to love the hallucinations), got wet from the rain, got hot from the sun, got dirty from the mud, and got smelly from the sweat. At the very end met my friends (who have their own fantastic story about finishing that race), ate delicious pizza and drank an enormous beer. Yes, life was good.

Camera: simple amateur Canon EOS 650D with my old Tamron 70-300mm (I used to use it with my cameras in season 2006-2007).
Photo itself: milky fog on one of the mountain tops (I could barely see through it), and runners happy to see other human beings (and specifically a photographer, I guess haha). I hoped camera will capture more than this milky fog… and it did. Perfectness in the imperfection ❤
